I went to a SASC workshop about Success in Chem. In this workshop, the presenter talked mostly about study habits and time management relating to Chemistry. While this was helpful, it was not necessarily what I was expecting. I was able to learn more about time management and study habits, and even filled out a paper on my exams and assignments due for the whole semester. This helped me organize all of the big things I had to do each week.
Unfortunately, I did not learn the specifics about how to succeed in chemistry, the presenter did lay out study options, but did not give details about how the presentation on time management worked with chemistry, or what worked best putting vocab terms together. I felt as if this would have been a better presentation if the workshop was labeled: Time Management Skills rather than “Success in Chem”, but I did learn something.
